FAQ
Contract manufacturing questions
What is nearshore manufacturing?
It means producing in a nearby country instead of overseas. For U.S. companies, Tijuana offers Mexican manufacturing costs with truck delivery in days, the same time zone as California and the option to visit the shop in a day trip.
Do you make private-label products?
Yes. We manufacture products under our customers' brands and build products to customer specifications.
What does IMMEX mean for my order?
IMMEX is Mexico's maquiladora program. Depending on how your project is structured, it can reduce duties and taxes on materials or tooling you supply. We'll explain the options when we quote.
Do products qualify under USMCA?
Many fabricated products made in Mexico can qualify for preferential treatment under USMCA. Qualification depends on the product and its materials, so confirm it with your customs broker for each part number.
