FAQ
Stainless fabrication questions
What is custom stainless steel fabrication?
It is the process of cutting, bending, welding and finishing stainless sheet, plate, tube and bar into a finished part built to your drawing. You control the dimensions, grade, thickness, finish and hardware instead of adapting a catalog item.
Should I use 304 or 316 stainless steel?
304 is the standard choice for most indoor equipment, enclosures and restroom products. 316 adds molybdenum for better resistance to salt air, moisture and chemicals, which makes it the better choice for coastal, washdown or chemical environments.
How is custom fabrication priced?
Price depends on material grade, thickness, the number of cuts, bends and welds, the finish and the quantity. Send a drawing or measurements and we'll send a project-specific quote at no cost.
Can you match an existing part or replace a worn one?
Yes. If you have a sample or the old part, we can measure it, draw it and build a replacement, or improve it with a heavier gauge or better grade.
